Last year, Steelplan Kitchens helped a Poole-based church give its kitchen a revamp with sleek new worktops and appliances to suit its requirements.
The church needed a kitchen that was durable, long-lasting, stylish and able to withstand the demands of a busy church kitchen, whether that’s providing tea and biscuits to the congregation after morning worship, or prepping to support the return of morning breakfasts after lockdown.
Despite the challenges of Covid-19, the church received a full refurbishment via Steelplan and one of our recommended associative contractors. Take a look at the pictures below…
Steelplan Kitchens transformed the functionality of this church kitchen with brand new appliances, including a new fridge, freezer and two ovens with induction hobs. New powder-coated steel cabinets were also fitted, providing a practical, durable and easy to clean storage environment while giving the kitchen a sleek look.
These stainless-steel worktops can withstand the weekly punishment of prepping food for the parish congregation while promoting fantastic hygiene. They are easy to wipe down with a seamless edge to prevent bacteria and residue hiding in grouting down the side.
To top it off, we fitted two steel sinks with different bowl types to cater to a wide variety of dishes or mugs. These sinks are also easy to clean and stop the spread of bacteria.
Finally: the church has a shiny new insect zapper fitted above the door. Overall, we supported the provision of a hygienic, durable, versatile and stylish kitchen that this church will use for years to come.

The inherent strength of metal and a combination of the benefits listed on this page mean that a steel Kitchen will far exceed the life expectancy of a standard wooden carcass kitchens in semi-commercial environments.
The polyester powder coated steel is impervious to water. No more swollen chipboard or rotting MDF.
The metal is fire resistant and the powder coat finish formulated so that no toxic fumes are emitted in the case of fire.
Unlike wooden/chipboard cabinets the Steelplan Kitchen carcass does not contain any material that may sustain, harbour or encourage insects or bacteria.
The powder coated finish means that the units can be kept to an extremely high level of cleanliness and hygiene at all times. Essential when used in health locations.
It looks great! The hidden steel backbone is dressed up with a choice of doors to produce whatever look and feel you want.
